Timber
Weight, grain, and time.
Heavy timber and finish carpentry for houses that should not wear aluminum. Spanish, Craftsman, ranch, and anything an HOA will only approve in wood.
Wood is still the right material on a surprising number of Los Angeles houses. It takes paint. It takes stain. It can be sized to an existing eave, a stucco return, a tile roof. It is also the material that asks the most of the builder — flashing, fasteners, ventilation, and a finish that will last in this sun.
We do not treat timber as a cheaper option or a nostalgic one. We treat it as architecture. If aluminum is more honest for the house, we will say so. If wood is the only thing that belongs, we build it that way and we tell you how it will be cared for.
